American Authors, Magic Giant & Public

25th February 2020 - Tuesday 20:00

American Authors, Magic Giant, and Public are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!

Magic Giant (usually stylized as MAGIC GIANT) were formed in Los Angeles in 2014 by Austin Bisnow (lead vocals, cello, synthesizer, percussion), Zambricki Li (viola, fiddle, banjo, harmonica, cello, mandolin, octave mandolin, dobro, lap steel, backing vocals), and Zang (acoustic guitar, cello, bass, percussion, backing vocals). Their musical style's best described as a blend of indie folk (a style that arose in the 1990s - among musicians from indie rock scenes influenced by folk music - and is characterized by a blend of acoustic guitar melodies of traditional folk music with contemporary instrumentation), indie pop (a sub-genre of alternative/indie rock originating in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s and differing from indie rock to the extent that it’s more melodic, less abrasive, and relatively angst free), and indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze). They've had a stellar career with 1 studio album, 1 extended play, 3 singles, and they've performed at many major festivals such as Electric Forest, Wanderlust and Lightning in a Bottle.
