Amine, Oregon’s sensational hip hop artist and songwriter is bringing his signature rhymes to the Paradise Rock Club!
Aminé (birth name Adam Aminé Daniel) was born in Portland in 1994 and is a hip hop recording artist, singer, and songwriter. He began his journey in rap music by making tracks insulting his high school rivals. In January 2014, he released his debut mixtape (Odyssey To Me) and followed it up with his debut extended play (En Vogue) in September that year. 2015 saw the release of his sophomore mixtape (Calling Brío) and in early 2016, he got a record deal with Republic Records. He released his debut single (Caroline) in March that year and it hit #4 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart, #5 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single’s video was posted on YouTube in June 2016 and has already been viewed over 49 million times. He has quite the sense of humor, as displayed in an interview when he was asked about his life story: “Basically, when I was like five, I signed to Death Row Records. I wrote for a couple people, you know. Some hits like 'Hail Mary' and stuff with Tupac and shit. It was crazy. Basically, I was five, so I signed this shitty deal. Like, I didn't know how to read, you know? Come 18 or 20, I was like, 'Damn, I gotta make some paper’… I was like, 'I gotta get myself a sugar momma.' So at 20 I got myself a sugar momma and she sent me out to the Himalayas.”
