Anderson Paak, California’s sensational hip-hop artist is bringing his signature sounds to Paradise Rock Club!
Brandon Paak Anderson was born in 1986 in Oxnard and began his musical journey by producing music from his bedroom as a teenager as well as playing drums for a local church band. His stage name is styled as Anderson .Paak and the dot stands for detail and is there to remind him that honing one’s craft requires a lot of attention to detail. He began working on his debut album in 2011 (under the name Breezy Lovejoy) and after its release he became the drummer for American Idol contestant, Haley Reinhart. Since then he’s had a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 4 EPs, 8 singles, and multiple guest appearances on tracks by renowned artists such as Ice Cube, The Game, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and many more. He had a big breakthrough by being a major presence on Dr. Dre's surprise 2015 album Compton. Some say his presence stole the show as he straddled the line between an elastic chatter and a wrenching moan, remained unpredictable with a careful mix of fluidity and texture. In January this year Paak signed a deal with Dre’s record label, Aftermath.
