Sensational drag artists BenDeLaCreme and Jinkx Monsoon are bringing their signature show to the Paradise Rock Club!
BenDeLaCreme (birth name Benjamin Putnam) was born in Seattle in 1981 and is a burlesque and drag performer. His stage name is a blend of his first name and the French phrase ‘crème de la crème’. He took an interest in drag and burlesque after seeing Varla Jean Merman; a character created and portrayed by actor, singer and drag performer. Jeffery Roberson. Ben’s latest solo show (titled Inferno A-Go-Go) is based on Dante’s Inferno and he describes it as, “Oh, you know how I roll—grappling with the pitfalls of moral absolutism through songs, puns, and puppets! BenDeLaCreme has decided to descend into hell in Dante Alighieri's footsteps, with only the vaguest understanding of what that might entail. Along the way, she sings and dances—and meets harpies, centaurs, and sodomites. It uses a vaudevillian format as a structure to tell the story, so it's a lot of ridiculous, campy fun. It's a show and a story for everyone—but if you've read Inferno, there are a few little treats just for you."Ben’s also appeared in 2 films by Wes Hurley (Waxie Moon, Waxie Moon in Fallen Jewel) and as a narrator on the comedy/horror soap opera web series, Capitol Hill.
