Biffy Clyro, Scotland’s sensational alternative rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!

The band was formed in Kilmarnock (East Ayrshire, Scotland) in 1995 and consists of Simon Neil (lead guitar, piano, theremin, lead vocals), James Johnston (bass guitar, synthesizer, vocals), and Ben Johnston (drums, vocals). Their musical style can be best described as a blend of indie pop (a subgenre of alternative/indie rock originating in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s and differing from indie rock to the extent that it’s more melodic, less abrasive, and relatively angst free), math rock (a subgenre of indie rock characterized by complex, atypical rhythmic structures, counterpoint, odd time signatures, angular melodies, and extended, often dissonant, chords), and post hardcore (punk rock music genre that derives from hardcore punk but emphasises a greater degree of creative expression initially inspired by post punk and noise rock). They’ve had a stellar career with 7 studio albums, 2 live albums, 7 compilation albums, 30 music videos, 5 extended plays, and 31 singles. They’ve received many accolades including 3 Kerrang! Awards (for Best Music Video, Best Album, and Classic Songwriter), 3 NME Awards (Best Music Video, Best Live Band, and Best British Band), 2 Q Awards (for Best Live Band and Best Album Opposites), and they’ve also been nominated for a BRIT Award for Best British Group.

Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to indie pop, math rock, and post hardcore music!
