Jasmine Lucilla Elizabeth Jennifer van den Bogaerde was born in Hampshire in 1996 and learned to play the piano when she was 7, and began writing her own music at 8. She took her stage name from the nickname her parents gave her because she opened her mouth like a little bird when being fed. She began her career at 12 when she won the Open Mic UK competition by singing a song she wrote herself. She’s released 3 studio albums and was nominated for a 2014 BRIT Award in the British Female Solo Artist category.
