The band was formed in 1988 and their name is a tribute to legendary Rolling Stones guitarist (Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones) and his role in fusing Eastern culture and music into Western rock and roll. Over the years, 40 members have passed through the band’s ranks but Anton Newcombe (singer/guitarist) has always been its focal point. The band has had a stellar career with 14 studio albums, 13 EPs, 5 live albums and 5 compilation albums.
