Built to Spill, Idaho’s sensational indie rock artists, are bringing you their signature sounds as they tour venues across the nation.

Built to Spill was formed in 1992 by Doug Martsch (former guitarist/vocalist of Treepeople), Brett Netson (bassist/guitarist) and Ralf Youtz (drums) as the band's original members. In an interview Doug stated that he intended to change the band's line-up for every album, with himself being the only permanent member. He cites indie guitar hero (of alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr.) J Mascis has his main influence and Mascis style of heavy, catchy guitar hooks has become the core of Built to Spill's sound. The band has also named Neil Young, Pavement, and Camper Van Beethoven as its influences. They’ve had a stellar career with 8 studio albums, 1 live albums, 5 EPs, 15 singles, and have also appeared on numerous compilation albums.
