Chelsea Cutler was born in Westport (Connecticut) in 1997 and is a singer, songwriter, and producer. While her musical style can be broadly classified as electronic, it's best described as a blend of Electronic Dance Music a.k.a. EDM (a broad range of percussive electronic music genres - generally produced for playback by DJs who create seamless selections of tracks, called a mix, by segueing from one recording to another - made largely for nightclubs, raves, and festivals), pop, and indie electronic (a sub genre of alternative/indie rock with affinity for electronic music, using samplers, synthesizers, drum machines, and computer programs). She cites Bon Iver and Odesza as her main influences and most of her lyrics are about mental health but written in the context of love. She said in an interview, “A lot of times I frame it as a romantic relationship because I find that to be more applicable and more easily interpreted. It’s really more about the relationship between me and myself and figuring out how to deal with my own anxiety and depression.” She's had a stellar career with 1 studio album, 1 extended play, 4 singles, and she's collaborated with Kidswaste, Louis the Child, and Kasbo.
