Dalton and The Sheriffs, Boston's sensational alternative country artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!
Dalton and The Sheriffs was formed in Boston in 2012 and consists of James Zaner (drums), Jon Silva (guitar), Steve Baker (backup vocals and guitar), and Sam Bouve (bass). Their musical style is best described as alternative country; a sub-genre of country music that incorporates influences ranging from roots rock (a sub-genre of rock music that takes inspiration from various American musical traditions such as country, blues, and folk), bluegrass (a genre that takes roots from Irish, Scottish and English traditional music, and was also later influenced by the music of African Americans through incorporation of jazz elements), rockabilly (a genre that blends Western musical styles such as country with rhythm and blues, leading to what is considered classic rock and roll), honky tonk, alternative rock, folk rock, and punk rock. They've had a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 1 mix tape, 2 singles (one of which landed in the top 20 of iTunes' June 2016 Country pre-order list), and they've been the opening act for Sam Hunt, Eric Paslay, Thomas Rhett, David Nail, Cole Swindell, LOCASH, and many other renowned artists. Their latest album (This is Boston) comes out in the spring of 2017.
