Danny Brown, Michigan’s sensational hip hop artist is bringing his signature sounds to Paradise Rock Club!

Danny Brown (birth name Daniel Dewan Sewell) was born in Detroit in 1981 and is of Filipino descent. As a child his mother would read Dr. Seuss books to him which taught Danny how to speak in rhyme. As a child he was also exposed to all kinds of music due to his father being a DJ and Danny decided to become a rapper in kindergarten. He’s had a stellar career with 3 studio albums, 3 EPs, 9 mixtapes, 7 singles, and thirty two music videos. He’s also been a guest artist on tracks by many renowned artists such as A-track, J Dilla, The Alchemist, The D.O.T, Insane Clown Posse, Joey Fatts, E-40, Ghostface Killah, BADBADNOTGOOD, Rustie, Lucki Eck$, Beatking, Westside Gunn, The Avalanches, ASAP Rocky, SD, and Smoke DZA. He’s also the lead artist in the theme song for the comedy TV show Fresh Off the Boat. He won the 2013 Woodie Award for Best Video and MTV has labelled him “one of rap's most unique figures in recent memory”. His latest album is called Atrocity Exhibition (named after a song by English rock band Joy Division) and it will be released this year.
