Django Django, England's sensational indie rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!
Django Django was formed in Dalston (London, England) in 2009 by vocalist and guitarist Vinny Neff, drummer Dave Maclean, bassist Jimmy Dixon, and keyboardist Tommy Grace. While their musical style can be broadly classified as indie rock, it's best described as a blend of art rock (a sub-genre of rock music that generally reflects a challenging or avant-garde approach to rock, and is often distinguished by the use of electronic effects and easy listening textures far removed from the propulsive rhythms of early rock), neo-psychedelia (a diverse style of music - originating in the 1970s as an outgrowth of the British post punk scene – that borrowed a variety of elements from 1960s psychedelic music and emphasized the cryptic margins of avant-rock, incorporating evanescent textures over an immutable bassline, producing a heavy metallic ambience), and experimental rock (a sub-genre of rock characterized by improvisational performances, avant-garde influences, odd instrumentation, opaque lyrics, strange compositional structures and rhythms, and an underlying rejection of commercial aspirations). They’ve had a stellar career with 3 studio albums (one of which as been certified Silver in the UK and Platinum in France), 1 remix album, and 12 singles.
Don't miss your chance to see the indie rockers with a heterogeneous style, reliant on sun-soaked harmonies, jerky rhythms, bleep electronics, and acoustic folk-pop!
