Flight Facilities, Australia’s sensational electronic music artists are bringing their signature sounds to Paradise Rock Club!
Flight Facilities was formed in Sydney in 2009 and is an electronic music production duo consisting of Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell. They started out by mixing various songs by other artists (most notably, Bag Raiders, Toecutter and Sneaky Sound System). The made a name for themselves with their first original song (Crave You featuring Giselle Rosselli) getting a lot of radio play in Australia in 2010. Its popularity led to their first tour (Maiden Voyage) and they performed both domestically (in Brisbane, Adelaide, Gold Coast) and overseas in Osaka and Tokyo. In 2011 they released another track (Foreign Language featuring Jess Higgs) and it hit #87 on the Australian charts. The track’s music video won a J-Award and the duo followed it up with another single (Clair De Lune featuring Christine Hoberg) in 2012 that went on to be certified Gold in Australia. Their profile grew even further in 2013 when they performed at SXSW in Austin and at Australia’s Falls Festival and Southbound Festival. They released their debut album (Down to Earth) in 2014 and it has guest appearances by many renowned artists such as Kylie Minogue, Emma Louise, Reggie Watts, Bishop Nehru, Owl Eyes, and Stee Downes.
