Four Tet, England’s sensational post-rock and electronic music artist is bringing his signature sounds to Paradise Rock Club!
Four Tet (birth name Kieran Hebden) was born in London in 1978 and began his musical journey in high school when he, along with classmates Sam Jeffers and Adem Ilhan, formed the post-rock band Fridge. They got a record deal when Kieran was 15 and released their first album (Ceefax) in 1997. When the band went on temporary hiatus for Sam and Adem to attend college, Kieran started to develop ideas gained from hip-hop and electronica that he hadn't had time to focus on up until then. He named the project Four Tet and in 1998, released his debut single that was 36 minutes and 25 seconds long (and aptly named, Thirtysixtwentyfive). His musical style is a blend of hip hop, electronica, techno, jazz, grime, folk music with live instrumentation, and recently he’s been adding heavy doses of house music as well. He’s also remixed tracks by renowned artists such as Explosions in the Sky, Radiohead, Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey, Sia, Black Sabbath, and many more.
Don’t miss your chance to see this artist with his hodgepodge of experimental folk, jazz, and Krautrock-inspired electronica!
