Hayley Kiyoko Alcroft was born in Los Angeles in 1991 and is a singer, songwriter, actress, multi instrumentalist (guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums, accordion, and autoharp), and dancer. While her musical style can be broadly classified as pop, it's best described as a blend of dream pop (a sub genre of alternative rock and neo psychedelia characterized by breathy vocals, introspective or existential lyrics, and a focus on textures and moods rather than propulsive rock riffs), synth pop (a sub genre of new wave music that rose to prominence in the late 1970s and features the synthesizer as the dominant musical instrument), and dance pop (a fusion of electronic dance music and pop music, with influences of disco music, post-disco, new wave, synth pop, electro pop, and house). She’s had a stellar career with 1 studio album (a top 25 hit in the US, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and the UK), 3 extended plays, 14 singles, 15 music videos, and she's collaborated with many renowned artists such as Bridgit Mendler, Adam Hicks, Hayley Kiyoko and Naomi Scott, Phantoms, Kehlani, Blake Michael, Chris Brochu, and Sweater Beats.
