Houndmouth, Indiana's sensational country rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!

Houndmouth was formed in 2011 in New Albany (Indiana) by guitarist/vocalist Matt Myers, keyboardist/vocalist Katie Toupin, bassist/vocalist Zak Appleby, and drummer/vocalist Shane Cody. Their musical style is best described as a blend of country rock (a sub genre of popular music, formed from the fusion of rock and country, developed by rock musicians who started using country themes, vocal styles, and additional instrumentation, most notably, pedal steel guitars), Americana (contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, blues, roots rock, R&B;, folk, and bluegrass, resulting in a distinctive roots oriented sound), indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze), and alternative folk (a sub genre of folk music that combines acoustic sounds with a strong singer-songwriter bent along with a more energetic, aggressive sound). They've had a stellar career with 3 studio albums and they've performed at many major major music events such as ACL, Americana Music Festival, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Newport Folk Festival. The band currently consists of Matt, Zak, and Shane.

Don’t miss your chance to see the artists who boast a sound that's informed by vintage country rock and the melodic side of indie rock!
