L7, California’s sensational grunge music artists, are bringing you their signature sounds as they tour venues across the nation.
The band was formed in 1985 and is currently composed of Donita Sparks (vocals, guitar), Suzi Gardner (guitar, vocals), Jennifer Finch (bass, vocals), and Demetra Plakas (drums, vocals). The group’s name comes from a 1950s slang phrase that refers to someone who’s a square. They’ve had a stellar career with 6 studio albums, 11 singles, 1 EP, 1 compilation album, 3 music videos, and numerous TV appearances on shows such as Late Night with David Letterman, The Jon Stewart Show, The Word, 120 Minutes, and Alternative Nation. In 1991, the band formed a Pro-Choice women's rights group (Rock for Choice) and it was supported by other prominent bands of the era including Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, and Rage Against the Machine. The band went on indefinite hiatus in 2001 but reformed in 2014.
