Matthew John Corby was born in Sydney in 1990 and began his musical journey by singing in his school’s choir. His musical influences were Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young and he toured locally with a church band before auditioning for Australian Idol in 2007. He’s released 7 EPs, the 4th one (Into The Flame) being his breakthrough, hitting #3 on the Australian charts and being certified 6-time Platinum. His debut album (Telluric) was released in March this year has already hit #1 on the charts.
