Morgan Wallen was born in Sneedville (Tennessee) in 1993 and is a singer and songwriter. He began his musical journey by singing in church when he was three years old. He started taking violin lessons when he was 5 and it wasn't long before he was also playing piano and guitar. While his musical style can be broadly classified as country, it's best described as a blend of contemporary country (a sub genre of country music that primarily draws from classic honky tonk, but also boasts all the advantages of updated production techniques and equipment, proving that pure country music can sound authentic yet modern), country rock (a sub genre of popular music, formed from the fusion of rock and country, developed by rock musicians who started using country themes, vocal styles, and additional instrumentation, most notably, pedal steel guitars), and country pop (a blend of country music and pop music developed by artists of the former out of a desire to reach a larger, mainstream audience). He’s had a stellar career with 1 studio album (a #11 hit on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart), 2 extended plays, 3 singles, and 4 music videos.
