Noah Kahan, Vermont's sensational indie folk artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!
Noah Kahan was born in Strafford (Vermont) in 1997 and is a singer and songwriter. He began his musical journey by writing songs when he was just 8 years old and in high school, he asked some friends in the music business to help produce some of his work and share it on music streaming sites. His musical style is best described as a blend of indie folk (a style that arose in the 1990s - among musicians from indie rock scenes influenced by folk music - and is characterized by a blend of acoustic guitar melodies of traditional folk music with contemporary instrumentation), pop, and adult alternative pop/rock (a branch of alternative rock - emerging after the genre's absorption into the mainstream – featuring a smooth, melodic, radio friendly style that packages alternative's mellower side for wider consumption). He cites Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, Counting Crows, Hozier, and Mumford and Sons as some of his main influences. His breakthrough came with his 2017 single 'Hurt Somebody' getting a Gold certification in New Zealand and going double Platinum in Australia. He's released 1 extended play, 5 singles, and he's been the opening act for many renowned bands/artists such as Ben Folds, Anderson East, Milky Chance, and The Strumbellas.
