Owl City, Minnesota's sensational indie electronic and pop artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!
Owl City started off in Owatonna (Minnesota) in 2007 as a solo project of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Young. While his musical style can be broadly classified as indie electronic, it's best described as a blend of electro-pop (a fusion of electronic music and pop music - with primary usage of synthesizers and various electronic and pop musical instruments - often with simple, catchy hooks and simple dance beats along with an emphasis on songwriting over danceability), synth pop (a sub-genre of new wave music that rose to prominence in the late 1970s and features the synthesizer as the dominant musical instrument), and emo pop (a genre that retains emo’s confessional lyrics and cathartic energy, while embracing more pop oriented influences to create sound that blends youthful angst with slick production and mainstream appeal). He’s had a stellar career with 6 studio albums (one of which has been certified Platinum in the US), 1 compilation album, 21 singles, 21 music videos, 4 extended plays, and he's collaborated with Shawn Chrystopher, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lindsey Stirling, Aloe Blacc, and many other renowned artists. He's been nominated for an ARIA Award, a Billboard Music Award, and a Q Award.
Don’t miss your chance to see this artist add a unique touch to indie electronic and pop music!
