Passenger (birth name Michael David Rosenberg) was born in Brighton and Hove (England) in 1984 and is a singer-songwriter and musician. He’s had a stellar career with 6 studio albums and 5 singles. His 2012 single topped the charts in in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland. It hit #2 on the UK Singles chart, #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, and sold over 1 million and 4 million digital copies in those countries respectively. His 2010 album (Flight of the Crow) was certified Gold in Australia and his next release (All the Little Lights) went Platinum in England, Australia, Germany, and Gold in the US, Canada, and Switzerland. His 2014 album hit #12 on the US Billboard 200 chart, #5 on the UK Albums chart, and was certified Gold and Silver respectively. His latest album (Young as the Morning, Old as the Sea) comes out on 23rd September 2016. He won the 2013 Independent Music Award for Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter Song and the 2014 Novello Award for Most Performed Work category.
