Pepper, Hawaii's sensational alternative rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!

Pepper were formed in Kailua-Kona (Hawaii) in 2009 and consist of vocalist/guitarist Kaleo Wassman, vocalist/bassist Bret Bollinger, and drummer Yesod Williams. While their musical style can be broadly classified as alternative rock, it's best described as a blend of ska (a genre that - originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s – combines elements of Caribbean mento and calypso with American jazz and rhythm and blues, and is characterized by a walking bass line accented with rhythms on the off beat), reggae (while sometimes used in a broad sense to refer to most types of popular Jamaican dance music, the term reggae more properly denotes a particular music style that was strongly influenced by traditional mento as well as American jazz and rhythm and blues, and evolved out of the earlier genres ska and rocksteady), dub (a style that grew out of reggae in the 1960s and consists predominantly of instrumental remixes of existing recordings that are created by significantly manipulating and reshaping the recordings, usually by removing the vocals from an existing music piece, and emphasizing the drum and bass parts), and pop punk (a fusion genre that typically combines fast punk rock tempos, power chord changes and loud, distorted electric guitars with pop influenced melodies and lyrical themes). They've had a stellar career with 8 studio albums, 2 live albums, 2 extended plays, 2 videos albums, and 7 singles.
