Percy Hill

3rd December 2016 - Saturday 20:00

Percy Hill, New England’s sensational rock, jazz, and jam band artists are bringing their signature sounds to Paradise Rock Club!

The band was formed at the University of New Hampshire in Durham in 1993 and is composed of Aaron Katz (drums), John Leccese (bass), Nate Wilson (keyboards), and Joe Farrell (guitar). The band has become renowned for performing for a weekend or so and then not touring again for a while. They'll suddenly decide to do a couple of gigs here and there and then disappear just as suddenly. When they’re not performing, band members are involved in various other projects. Joe is a popular music teacher in Maine while Aaron keeps himself busy with music production and performing with the Aaron Katz Band. Nate and John have been a part of Assembly of Dust; a highly influential roots-rock band formed in 2002 by former Strangefolk frontman Reid Genauer. Percy Hill is very different from almost every jam band in that members like to hone their craft in the recording studio. Their 1998 album (Color In Bloom) received widespread critical acclaim with its phenomenal and incredibly tight jams blended with ephemeral lyrics. The band played two phenomenally successful sold-out shows earlier this year and are going back on stage again to test-drive some new material.
