Ronald Michael "Ron" Pope was born in Marietta (Georgia) in 1983 and is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He began his musical journey at an early age by singing and playing guitar. He was obsessed with Bruce Springsteen and he formed many bands while in high school. In 2005, he decided to pursue a solo career and he released his debut solo album (Daylight) 3 years later. His musical style is best described as a blend of adult alternative pop/rock (a branch of alternative rock - emerging after the genre's absorption into the mainstream – featuring a smooth, melodic, radio friendly style that packages alternative's mellower side for wider consumption) and indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze). He’s had a stellar career with 11 studio albums, 1 live album, and he performs with a backing band called the Nighthawks.
