Ryan Montbleau, Massachusetts' sensational multi-genre artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!

Ryan Michael Montbleau was born in Peabody (Massachusetts) in 1977 and is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. His musical style is best described as a blend of folk, blues (a genre – developed by African Americans in the Deep South of the United States around the end of the 19th century – incorporating spirituals, work songs, field hollers, shouts, chants, and rhymed simple narrative ballads), funk (a genre that originated in the mid 1960s when African American musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of soul music, jazz, and rhythm and blues), Americana (contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, blues, roots rock, R&B;, folk, and bluegrass, resulting in a distinctive roots oriented sound), alternative rock , and adult alternative pop/rock (a branch of alternative rock - emerging after the genre's absorption into the mainstream – featuring a smooth, melodic, radio friendly style that packages alternative's mellower side for wider consumption). He’s had a stellar career with 9 studio albums, 3 live albums, a Boston Music Award (for Best Local Male Vocalist). He performs with a backing band consisting of Matt Giannaros, James Cohen, and Yahuba Garcia Torres.

Don’t miss your chance to see the Boston-based singer/songwriter whose soulful mix of rock, folk, R&B;, Americana, and funk has drawn comparisons to John Mayer and Martin Sexton!
