Soccer Mommy, Tennessee's sensational alternative music artist is bringing her signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!
Soccer Mommy is the solo project of Nashville-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Sophie Allison. Her musical style is best described as a blend of indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze), indie pop (a sub genre of alternative/indie rock originating in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s and differing from indie rock to the extent that it’s more melodic, less abrasive, and relatively angst free), pop rock (a genre that originated in the 1950s, influenced by the beat, arrangements, and style of rock and roll but with a greater emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft), and lo fi (a genre which grew primarily from American underground music scenes in the early 1980s and is associated with artists such as Sebadoh, Pavement, Liz Phair, and Beck). She cites Mitski, Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne as her main influences. She's had a stellar career with 2 studio albums and she's toured with many renowned bands and artists such as Mitski, Jay Som, Slowdive, Frankie Cosmos, Phoebe Bridgers, Liz Phair, Paramore, and Foster the People
