Sensational ska punk and punk rock artists The Interrupters and SWMRS are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!
The Interrupters were formed in Los Angeles in 2011 by Aimee Interrupter (lead vocals), Kevin Bivona (guitar, lead and backing vocals), Justin Bivona (bass and backing vocals), and Jesse Bivona (drums and backing vocals). Their musical style is best described as a blend of punk rock (a rock music genre - developed in the early to mid-1970s in the United States – that typically uses short or fast paced songs, with hard edged melodies and singing styles, stripped-down instrumentation, and often political, anti establishment lyrics), street punk (a working class based genre of punk rock which took shape in the early 1980s, partly as a rebellion against the perceived artistic pretensions of the first wave of British punk), and ska punk (a fusion of ska and punk rock that often features wind instruments and horns such as saxophones, trombones and trumpets, making the genre distinct from most other punk rock). They've had a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 3 singles, and they've toured with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Street Dogs, Less Than Jake, Big D and The Kids, and many others. Their music has been featured on the compilation albums 2016 Warped Tour, Hooligans United: A Tribute To Rancid, and Dale la Bota.
