The Lemon Twigs

The Lemon Twigs, New York's sensational indie rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!

The Lemon Twigs were formed in Hicksville (Long Island) in 2014 by brothers Brian (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, trumpet, and violin) and Michael D'Addario (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and percussion). Their musical style is best described as a blend of indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze), indie pop (a sub genre of alternative/indie rock originating in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s and differing from indie rock to the extent that it’s more melodic, less abrasive, and relatively angst free), and neo psychedelia (a diverse style of music - originating in the 1970s as an outgrowth of the British post punk scene – that borrowed a variety of elements from 1960s psychedelic music and emphasized the cryptic margins of avant-rock, incorporating evanescent textures over an immutable bassline, producing a heavy metallic ambience). They’ve had a stellar career with 3 studio albums, 1 extended plays, 6 singles, and they've performed at Glastonbury Festival, Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Music Festival, and the Montreux Jazz Festival.
