The Struts, England's sensational hard rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club
The Struts were formed in Derby (Derbyshire, England) in 2009 by vocalist Luke Spiller, guitarist Adam Slack, bassist Jamie Binns, and drummer Rafe Thomas. The band's been through a few line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Luke, Adam, Jed Elliott (bass), and Gethin Davies (drums). Their musical style is best described as a blend of hard rock (a loosely defined subgenre of rock music featuring heavy use of aggressive vocals, distorted electric guitars, bass guitar, drums, and often accompanied with pianos and keyboards), American trad rock (a style – influenced by Southern boogie and blues based improvisation - dedicated to keeping the sound and the spirit of classic '60s rock alive), glam rock (a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s performed by musicians who wore outrageous costumes, makeup, and hairstyles, particularly platform shoes and glitter), and indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze). They’ve had a stellar career with 1 studio albums, 3 extended plays, 8 singles, and 6 music videos.
Don’t miss your chance to see these artists with their unabashedly over the top, retro-fetishist, classic rock style!
