Tiny Moving Parts, Minnesota's sensational screamo artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!
Tiny Moving Parts were formed in Benson (Minnesota) in 2008 by brothers William Chevalier (drums) and Matthew Chevalier (bass guitar and backing vocals) along with their cousin Dylan Mattheisen (guitar and lead vocals). Their musical style's best described as a blend of screamo (a sub-genre of emo - also known as skramz - that began in the early 1990s and is characterised by a stronger influence from hardcore punk and the use of screamed vocals), math rock (a sub-genre of indie rock characterized by complex, atypical rhythmic structures, counterpoint, odd time signatures, angular melodies, and extended, often dissonant, chords), pop punk (a fusion genre that typically combines fast punk rock tempos, power chord changes and loud, distorted electric guitars with pop influenced melodies and lyrical themes), hardcore punk (a sub-genre of punk rock that began in the late 1970s and is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock), and post-hardcore (a sub-genre of hardcore punk music that maintains its aggression and intensity, but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression). They’ve had a stellar career with 7 studio albums, 4 extended plays, singles, 16 music videos, and they've toured with Modern Baseball, The Front Bottoms, Frameworks, and many other renowned bands.
