Wolf Parade, Canada's sensational indie rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Paradise Rock Club!
The band was formed in Montreal in 2003 and consists of former Frog Eyes member Spencer Krug (vocals and keyboards), former Atlas Strategic member Dan Boeckner (vocals and guitar), Arlen Thompson (drums), and Dante DeCaro (guitar, bass, percussion, and keyboards). Their musical style is best described as a blend of indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze), new wave (a genre of rock music that moved away from smooth blues and rock and roll sounds to create pop music that incorporated electronic and experimental music, mod, and disco), and post punk revival (genre of alternative rock and indie rock that developed in the late 1990s and early 2000s, inspired by the original sounds and aesthetics of garage rock of the 1960s and new wave and post-punk of the 1980s). They’ve had a stellar career with 4 studio albums, 4 extended plays, 8 singles, and their work has been featured on the compilation album The Believer 2005 Music Issue CD
