Daya, Pennsylvania’s sensational pop, synthpop, and electronic music artist is bringing her signature sounds to Paradise Rock Club!

Daya (birth name Grace Martine Tandon) was born in Pittsburgh and is of Indian descent. Her stage name represents ‘grace’ in Hindi and she began her musical journey by taking piano lessons at the age of 3 and by the time she was 11, she could also play the guitar, ukulele, saxophone, and flute. At 11, she had also enrolled in the Accelerando Music Conservatory (owned by singer and artist developer Christina Chirumbolo) where she eventually met songwriter and producer Gino Barletta. Christian and Gino formed the music camp called INSIDE ACCESS and Daya began to work with them (along with singer, songwriter, record producer, composer Brett McLaughlin) on her song-writing and music composition. It was her work with INSIDE ACCESS that led to her writing and recording the song that would eventually become her debut single, Hide Away. It was released in 2015 and it hit #6, #15, #18, and #23 on the charts in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and US. It went on to achieve Platinum status in America, Australia, Sweden, Canada, and New Zealand. She released her eponymous debut album in September 2015 and also collaborated with The Chainsmokers on their multi-Platinum single, Don’t Let Me Down.
