Granger Kelly Smith (also known as Earl Dibbles Jr.) was born in Dallas in 1979 and is a singer and songwriter. His musical style is best described as a blend of contemporary country (a sub genre of country music that primarily draws from classic honky tonk, but also boasts all the advantages of updated production techniques and equipment, proving that pure country music can sound authentic yet modern) and neo traditional country (a sub genre of country music that emphasizes the instrumental background and a traditional country vocal style). He’s had a stellar career with 8 studio albums (2 of which were top 5 hits on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart), 1 live album, 16 music videos, 2 extended plays, and 17 singles. He's received many accolades including a Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) Country Award (for Backroad Song) and an iHeartRadio Music Award nomination (for Best New Country Artist). He was named 2016's Hottest Artist to Watch by online music magazine Taste of Country.
